1. Data Collection & Processing

1.1. User Files (The "Zero-Knowledge" Architecture)

SwiftFiles operates on a Serverless / Client-Side architecture. When you select a file (image, PDF, audio, etc.), it is processed entirely within your browser's memory using WebAssembly technologies (FFmpeg.wasm, PDF-lib).

We do not transmit your files to any server. Therefore, we do not (and cannot) collect, store, view, or share your user-generated content.

1.2. Automatically Collected Data & Sharing

Unlike your files, we do collect and share standard technical metadata to maintain the website and fund its operation:

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device category (mobile/desktop).
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, and referral sources (via Google Analytics).
  • Network Logs: IP addresses (anonymized where possible) for security and DDoS protection (via Vercel).
  • Sharing of Data: We share technical metadata (cookies, IP addresses) with Google (for Analytics and AdSense) to provide our services and display advertisements. We do not share your personal files.

2. Advertising & Cookies

SwiftFiles participates in the Google AdSense program. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites. These cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.

  • Personalization: You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • Third-Party Vendors: Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this requests. You can visit aboutads.info to opt out of third-party interest-based advertising.

3.1. GDPR (Europe) & UK-GDPR

For users in the EEA and UK:

  • Lawful Basis: We process data based on legitimate interest (security, analytics) and consent (cookies).
  • Data Minimization: Your files are never processed by us, fulfilling the ultimate data minimization standard.
  • Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data (IP/Analytics). Contact us to exercise these rights.

3.2. CCPA / CPRA (California, USA)

For California residents:

  • Right to Know: You may request details about the categories of personal information we collect (mostly technical metadata).
  • Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information (name, email, files) to third parties. We do "share" technical data (cookies, IP) with advertising partners (such as Google) for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out via your browser's "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, or by managing your Google Ad Settings.

3.3. LGPD (Brazil)
