Slow down audio without changing pitch

Basic playback slowdown often drags the pitch down with it. SwiftFiles changes tempo independently, so fast speech stays recognizable and musical passages remain in key while you listen more closely.

Do it step by step

    Open the Audio Speed Changer and select the recording.

    Reduce the speed gradually. For speech or practice material, 80 percent is a useful starting point.

    Preview a demanding section and adjust the speed until it stays intelligible.

    Export a new copy and leave the original recording untouched.

Before you start

Very large slowdowns can produce audible artifacts. Use the fastest setting that still gives you enough time to hear the detail.
