Clean up an MP3 library

A music library is only as useful as its tags. When titles, artists, albums, or artwork are inconsistent, the same tracks appear in the wrong place across players and devices. Inspect the common ID3 fields, correct them, and download a clean copy without sending the MP3 anywhere.

Do it step by step

    Open the MP3 Metadata Editor and select an MP3 file.

    Compare the current title, artist, album, year, genre, and artwork with the information you want your player to show.

    Fix only the fields that need attention, then replace the cover image if necessary.

    Download the updated MP3 and check it in your normal music player before deleting the source.

Before you start

This is an MP3 ID3 editor, not a tag editor for WAV, FLAC, M4A, or OGG. A rewrite may remove uncommon private ID3 frames. Keep the source file when those frames matter to your archive.
