Making images smaller (downscaling) maintains quality well. Making images larger (upscaling) can cause blurriness since the tool must create new pixels. For best results, start with the largest version you have.

Instagram feed posts work best at 1080x1080 (square), 1080x1350 (portrait), or 1080x608 (landscape). Stories and Reels should be 1080x1920 (9:16 vertical).

Keep "Maintain aspect ratio" enabled (it is on by default). Enter just the width or height, and the other dimension adjusts automatically to prevent distortion.
